Colors of Magic red match not working on top node? [Investigating]

According to the description, starting with a red match should deal damage to the opposing planeswalker. However, this isn’t happening at all for me. In fact, I’m not certain any of the colors are triggering for me. Is the puzzle meant to be for the opponent only? Because they were able to heal with white and summon thopters with blue, but nothing is happening on my end except the basic cost reduction.

Is this a bug or am I fundamentally misunderstanding how this event works?

Sounds wrong. Both players are supposed to have a triggering effect, though the effects are different for each player and reversed on each of the nodes, so far as I recall.

I haven’t signed in yet, but is it happening in both nodes?

It also depends on your mana bonusses, so I'm curious which walker you were using.
