When I saw the elite tournament this morning, I looked at the rewards for the highest places. 'Highest placing players...receive 3-Star cover tokens!' I jumped right into the tournament, started fighting and basically fought all day. I spent money on the entry, I spent money on health packs when I got behind, I spent hours playing, just hoping I could get those awesome 3 star tokenS. All said and done, I end up in second place. I get 100 gold (not even making back the entry cost) 1500 ISO 8, and one 3-Star token.. 1! Not ' tokens', not a 10 pack. 1 token for 1-3star cover...I spent all day playing this game, hoping to finally get something decent back for all the time and effort and money I put in...and I end up with 1 black Psylocke cover...

    I finished first and only got 1 token I thought winner got 3x covers

    That's just it. They say the 'winners get covers', makes you think you get more than one. All the winners of the previous elite tournaments got multiple covers. I feel cheated

    I entered as soon as I saw the event pop up then regretted it about ten minutes later. Came back with about 3 hours left in the event. Figured i should at least aim for a top 20 finish to receive two tokens.

    150 for the guaranteed token isn't really a bad deal.
    2 for 150HP is better than any other deal (plus 6-10 received 50HP).
    3-5 received 3 tokens and 50HP. 3 tokens for really 100HP is a pretty sweet deal!

    It was fun so I kept playing and ended up in 1st. Got my 250 hp, 2000 iso, and a Doom cover. I don't know why people keep spending HP on Health Packs. I just used 1 or 2 of my 5 all day.
    It was fun. I hope they do it again.

    The elite events have always been a better alternative than simply buying daily deals for heroic tokens (but you got to actually play), with the prospect of a good payoff if you can place well. Similar to the Lone Star Skimrishes daily specials, they should be viewed as a good deal to buy iso 8 with HP, and any high placement reward you get should be considered as a bonus.

    I joined with 3 hours left and came in third without much effort. I only joined because I had the hp sitting there. The heroic tokens are worth nothing but a 2 star now a days. I have all the 2 star covers and gold tokens just keep dropping more and more. Lame

    Rule #1 of Events: always check the actual rewards screen.

    Ever since they nerfed Lightning Round tokens, I've always completely ignored the intro popup and front-page marketing copy, and headed straight for the rewards screen, then the token-purchase section to check token descriptions.

    Didn't enter. Won 150 HP. Didn't have to use any health packs. It would have been nice to got a 3* but Daredevil sucks anyway. It's like I won a tournament!

    True! It's not like we were forced to enter. It wasn't even part of Season 2. Just an Optional longer lightning round.

    More like you and me are wizards and changed a guaranteed heroic token into 150 hp.

    They had to.do this tournement. To...you know...make up for the fact they are going to give out a pittance of 2k iso and 100 or something hp to everyone. Like magic, then turned a LOOOT of ppl's free hp into a yellow 2** cap.

    Here's a better deal; buy that guaranteed heroic token for 100 HP (daily deal) and save yourself 50 HP and the waiting time. And incase you wanted to compete for that second token; further expenditures for competing (shields, health packs) should factor into how good a deal it is as well.

    Spending money on health packs is the bigger ripoff. Never spend money on health packs. It only makes them think the health pack system isn't awful.

    The tournament rules and the prize structure is there, accessible alright before one enter. You just spent money out of greed and got burned in the process. It does NOT make the tournament a ripoff by any means. Sure the ones called "Elite" always had an element of "make it easy to let the fool part with his money", the previous instances had way more of that effect. This provided fair value for those who just buy heroics for HP (against the popular advice).

    With small brackets, short run time and expensive shields did not even turn into the shieldapolaza marathon. No reports of hitting the seed team bug either.

    So next time just look what you spend on and you'll be alright.

    Was thinking for a second to perhaps join, until I realized that it ended AGAIN nice for US players, but around 5am for EU players... so there is no chance at all to then be competive! What a failure! Not only do both the middle Simulator bracket and the end Simulator PvE event end at 5am, no, also this even ends at 5am for quite a large userbase.

    you should FINALLY make event end times fair, and not introduce more and more features to further ruin the game or a lot of players!!!

    The iso you get for placement is a favorable conversion ratio of HP to iso assuming you didn't mind playing some more games in the first place.

    Of course, this assumes you want to convert HP into iso in the first place, but iso can be more limiting than HP at a certain point.

    It's not really them misleading you, it is a case of you not understanding English.

    They said top players get ... 3 star tokens

    They are not going to put players get a token. If there was no s then it would mean the top players would get one token to divide within themselves.

    Also your fault for not checking the reward before entering.

    AND if they got multiple tokens the wording would change to..... err.... oh.... hang on a sec it would be EXACTLY THE BLOODY SAME! It appears the wording actually IS ambiguous. An unambiguous wording would be top players get a 3 star token... I guess needing an extra space in there would have ruined the look.
