Any changes to the AI?
Let's face it, the AI in this game is pretty dumb. So dumb that you develop tactics for each opposing team composition and use the same formula to almost always beat them successfully. I know it would make matches harder and longer if it was more clever, but that'd also make them more intense and also cut down on defensive losses in which I'm sure AI is using my characters very bad. Here are 10 of the dumbest moves I witnessed in my 2 months of playing:
1. Always missing 5-matches except random ones which looks like AI thinks it's a 3 or 4 match
2. Always going for the 4 match regardless of color
3. Making matches without any logical AP collecting strategy. It's seemingly random and looks like it prefers environment matches instead of color tiles most of the time. e.g. going for the enviromental match when it only needs 3 more green AP to fire off Call the Storm to down my characters for good.
4. Inability to choose and prioritize abilities. In the latest Fresh Cut PvP I've seen way too many loaner Psychic Knives when the AI had enough AP for a maxed Adamantium Slash which would take me down.
5. Using self damaging abilities without enough health - The random Sunder/Headbutt/Thorned Rose wins I get. It's the best when 2* Daken uses Thorned Rose and dies when I only have 20 health points on my last standing character.
6. Completely misusing tile placement (& some other) abilities - Gravity Warp/Deceptive Tactics/Polarity Shift which makes those characters pretty bad on defense, and 2* Daken with Thorned Rose again, losing health to get AP he cannot use.
7. Not calculating if/when my characters are going down or denying me any AP (Ares uses Onslaught when he has enough AP, instead of waiting one more turn to get enough AP to finish me off)
8. Not taking into account any countdown/strike/attack tiles it has. You always kill the hero last as it matches the goons' cd tiles. Also makes characters like Modern Hawkeye really useless.
9. Firing off Containment Breach and then not making the critical match. Yay, free crit for me.
10. Bagman raising the cd timers of his own team (haha)
Those are the ones from the top of my head, feel free to list any I missed.
I know some of them may be impossible to program (especially the misused), but adding 5 matches, prioritizing high level/high damage abilities instead of shooting itself in the foot, not making self-damage moves if it's the last standing character and doesn't have enough health should be easy enough.

Lately the AI has been blocking my colours. It could be because those are the strongest colours, but they are taking them away even though they don't use them for any abilities. Also, I think the computer clearly makes up for these with their "random" cascades. I've had the computer take out my full health 85 Mageneto in one turn because it was a really bad cascade. Also, they are constantly the needed colours "randomly" to use their specials. It's happened multiple times were Black Panther gets 10 blacks in one turn.0

I asked IceX about this in his recent Q&A and he said the ai used to be smarter but everyone complained it was too hard so they nerfed the AI. It seems players prefer easy offensive wins to the possibility of some defensive wins . My only big issue with it is it makes some heroes all but worthless on defence (C.Mags being the best example of a hero who's great on offence but terrible on defence) and other, more brute force heroes a lot more effective than the norm in that they MIGHT get you a win SOMETIMES but will at least do more damage in general (L.Thor, Hulk etc).0

I think the dumb AI also works well for the company as you need to shield more due to the possibility of defensive losses.0

Dumb matching AI is fine. But they absolutely must make character AI better. I know I use Thor partially cuz I know the CPU can easily use him. Red generates yellow, yellow generates green, green is a game winner. This works with the games idiot AI and makes him tough.
Other characters though? Countdown tile makers especially: CPU matching their own countdown tiles should never be intentional like it is now. They don't try to protect any special tile actually. Sentry saving up yellow to make a powerful strike tile then immediately matching it away is the stupidest **** and makes no one want to use them in pvp0
