Should I spend my LL tokens on Hit-monkey or save them for Wong?
Thanks for the help!

It doesn't have to be an either-or situation because they will be in LL at the same time next season.
The current rotation, ordered based on who will be going out next, is

    1. Arcade
    2. Riri
    3. Hit-Monkey
    4. Wong

A lot of players would probably ask you to skip arcade and wait for the next 5* to be revealed. Meanwhile, you can get their 1 cover equivalent of shards in pve via progression/placement while saving up your LTs.

Hey Hound: when is next season?

I don't know when exactly the next season is. It's probably the number of days the current season has left + ~10 days.

Hit Monkey is a counter to Chasm/iHulk or the revive mechanic. Depending on what upcoming change(s) the dev has up their sleeves for this meta team, Hit Monkey might or might not be useful.

In terms of fun, Wong's mechanics have "fun" written all over his abilities. Hit Monkey's powers are pretty straightforward.

I tried for hit monkey and got arcade. Guess I’ll stop trying for now. Thanks again

The characters in the LL tokens seem useless. Does anyone know when there will be someone in the vault that will be someone we can use our tokens on?
    Thanks I have over 700

I don't like Victor, so your guess is as good as mine. I've pulled a few classics just for the heck of it, but I have close to 500 pulls and don't see myself pulling again for probably 3 months.

    Necro bump!

Totally fair to start a new thread when considering a new set of 3. Each one really should be considered separately as characters rotate in and out.

Yes, thanks for pointing that out. Was confusing for a sec!

But now there's suspense! Did the OP get his Wong and Monkey? How did their hoarding a/o pulls unfold? Or have they quit and missed the rise of ascension? So many questions!

    Accurate!

It seems like it has been a very long time since we have had a new character that has been worthy of spending LL tokens on.
Is this going to change anytime soon? Getting frustrated with MPQ for some time now…actually thinking of quitting!

You revive a 6mo old thread to tell us you missed the last 6mos?

And they did it for the second time….

The devs have specifically said they don’t want to move the meta. This is actually completely understandable because the current meta is based on passive characters who can win automatically unless you’re countering them. So “moving the meta” basically requires power creep to actually happen.

I'm not confident that they could "move the meta" on purpose if they chose to.

Partly that's because of what you're saying (the current top of the metagame is SO powerful that, like, what do you even do? a guy that passively instantly wins all fights without pressing any buttons?), but also because they really don't understand how we play or what's actually good.

Chasm deliberately moved the meta, but in a very unfun mary sue kind of way.

This. This 100%. It was the same problem with D3 and the same problem with BCS. They don't play the game as players so they don't understand it the same way we do. Yes, they play. But it's totally different.

I just don't see her not getting fixed. With supports she's utterly broken in the game. They have spent a ton of dev time putting supports into pvp and I see them fixing her before they remove supports. I abused the strategy to hell when she was boosted and I doubt that's staying around.

If she does I will regret not pulling for her. She though is the only one.

I don't see why they would do anything with Golden Oldie. She needs not just supports but boosts to be truly effective. As is, even at 550, you need to use those resources to do the clears.

In PVP she wasn't particularly useful on defense, even on offense I had some matches that didn't go well due to the teams she was on, bad boards etc.

Yeah, in PVE she's the goto for fast clears. I don't know that there's a need to address that since she's burning resources especially unboosted.

The other thing is if you misjudge the amount of AP you need/have, you end up just slowly building again as she burned it all and you left people standing. In other words she's very good but requires very careful management as well as the mentioned boosts and things.

This is my experience as well - even my 550 Golden Oldie is only of so much use on the Challenge Node, wave nodes, and the 5* boosted node. She's pretty great everywhere else, but still requires those resources, which admittedly isn't much.

They should just release a character that destroys all charged tiles and dealing damage x2 for each tile destroyed this way.

Boom - mThor is done. He doesn’t ruin the game cause if there’s no charged tiles he’s way less useful but you get rid of the annoying auto-play that mThor pretty much is.

I see. So this is like a pill, that gives worms, to ex-girlfriends.
