That one happened last year sometime. He got modern health and crazy high match damage (the highest base in the game, I think) for some reason. They didn't really change his powers though.
If this is a way to get more people to play PVP I don't think it'll help. Although they do need more people to play PVP. I hate getting to the point around 700-800 points and your skipping through the same 5 people.
I think this might be to compensate for having no PVE? Who knows, hard to tell without communication.

I am like 95% sure there hasn't been anyone in the office for a while -- most likely they all went on vacation after pushing through the last Shardmass update. It's much easier to shut down the office for a week or two than just having people come in for a few days and leave for their various vacations again.
They'll probably be back tomorrow.
Preview for next pvp event is up and placement rewards are still the same. This doesn't rule out that it's only temporary like some said and we could be going back to the old reward structure when the new season starts.

This would imply that the PvE hiatus was planned, bc changing event rewards certainly takes planning.

I thought it may just be because it is off-season - season events contribute to better rewards, so this might be to encourage ad-hoc playing of these events.
Meh. So it's just to compensate for missing season rewards. Although, it's more than we would have gotten from Demiurge!

Damn. I should had known better this wasn't long-term. I went ahead and champed a bunch of nobodies thinking I'll be OK with Iso with the PvP changes lol
