Is this the correct order for champing 5*s?

With all the champ rewards plus a little bit more regular play time, my unchamped 5* reserves have now grown well past my available iso. Recognizing that new releases may shuffle the order (e.g., riri will slot in near the top when i get her to 13/13), is this the ideal priority list for iso?

Fosthor
Chasm
IHulk

She hulk (purely for sim purposes)
KK
Carbage
Big wheel
Archangel
Old daken
Moonknight
Banner
BW
Cable

Wasp

    Concentrate on FosThor first.

As for Chasm, no one can tell if the new dev team will nerf Chasm, despite so many counters being available. You could wait approximately two weeks later where they will come back with some action plan after analysing players' data from the top to bottom.

If the dev starts to cater to these group of players by nerfing meta characters, FosThor could be the next in line.

KK is the third most useful (after Chasm) due to her synergy with Apocalypse and BRB.

As for She-Hulk, I guess you want to pair her with Chasm/iHulk but I'll probably wait to see if they get nerfed. Under the old dev team, they will likely do nothing and let players deal with it until they come up with a hard counter many months later. Think iHulkoye and Wanda/Colossus.

Riri/Dr Thor is an obvious counter to iHulk/Chasm but if the dev decided to nerf, then Riri or Dr Thor won't be safe.

We haven't seen a nerf for years, there won't be one for Chasm.
They might bring a working counter eventually, who knows.

For now, champ Chasm and ihulk for PVP, then Jane.

I would put Banner up around Big Wheel. I quite like him after his buff.

We got a new dev team that seems to want to make as many players happy as possible. Many players in reddit, and a few here are talking about spending more than 10 minutes, and some 45 minutes against Chasm/iHulk. This is despite non-mirror match counters and some specific playstyle in mirror match being shared both in here and in reddit whenever such threads are brought up.

They went from "looking closely" a few weeks ago to planning to come up with some action note(?) In 1-2 weeks time a few days ago.

Stop assuming you know their intentions.
You also assumed the sky was falling when they started giving out 5* covers in boss events.

The dev actively posts in reddit and are always happy to agree with many of the feedbacks in reddit. You can search his post in reddit if it's really difficult to believe

Sky won't be falling now, of course. It will take a few months to see the snowball effects.

Agreeing isn't always agreement. Sometimes it's just trying to be nice.

Dr. Thor is the most fun 5* in the game, imo. I love her. She's a beast on offense, with a few different options for how to play her. She's useful in PvP and PvE.

Chasm with iHulk is THE current PvP meta. You need them if you care about hitting 1200 without playing to 50 wins. They aren't as fun, but they can save you shields as a scarecrow, and often just help to calm down incoming attacks.

After them, I would personally put Carnage ahead of KK, but it's close. She-Hulk, as you've noted is just a third in Sim and is pretty useless everywhere else. I've heard Big Wheel is fun, but I don't use him.

On the older toons, I'd personally hold off to see if any get a nicer than usual buff. The buffs seem to be more consistent, now. I'd bank on one of them being useful for a PvP down the line. You may want to hold on to the iso so that you can champ that character when that happens.

Even if they do end up nerfing Chasm-- the new dev team is not the old dev team. A MPQ nerf traditonally meant the character is dead (because the old dev team never nerfed gently), but it does not actually have to mean that at all. It could also mean just a direct disruption to Chasm/iHulk combo by targeting revival stacking rather than either character individually. Or any other number of gentle adjustments that don't ruin Chasm as a whole. We don't know, the new devs are an unknown yet when it comes to nerfing.

BCS so far have shown a good understanding of characters and mechanics and keep taking suggestions-- there is no reason to assume they will just stomp Chasm into the ground in 2 weeks, even if they do adjust or nerf something. No need for premature doomsaying.

Jane/Riri is a pretty reliable counter to Chasm/iHulk.

Jane is also Riri's best friend for removing her Overcharge countdown tile.

The thing is, they did turn some of the feedbacks into reality (Shardmas, more logical feeders, Heroic, increased rewards, easier access to latest characters, new 3* releases, decreased roster slots, decreased wins in pvps by 25, etc) and there will be many more to come in 2023.

As for doomsday prediction about Chasm nerf, I call it erring on the side of caution. It's an unknown at this point because they are still looking at data, and they can only get back with action points after the holiday. So, a week or two of waiting for their action points isn't a long wait. And if what they said a few days ago to players in reddit is merely paying lip service to them, then it'll definitely make many unhappy.

Anyway, what are you using Carbage for? KK is purely for pve clearing. Big Wheel is there if you like cascade RNG, so your partners would typically be Onslaught, SC, Prof X, Sersi, Dr Thor etc. I do agree that he could wait for buffs for the rest. Even though Banner has been buffed, but I rarely see him in pvps.

If I were to be squeezed for another two suggestions, I would go for Moon Knight because his powers are fun, he has strong true heal and immunity to stun. The second would be Samurai Daken for his black to red ap conversion and passive damage from repeaters.
