Oscorp spiderman question

When will glidey be out of the featured rotation where he's required to play in PvE events?

I absolutely despise using him.

I'm sure there's a place for him and some might even love him. My experience, however, is that his passive actively interferes with gameplay in a way that gives me anxiety just looking at him.

Goon places a CD tile, but I can match it... Nope it's locked. Oh look I can make a 4 or 5 match... Nope the tile I need to move is locked. I finally worked around locked tiles and am making it work... Nope there are more CD tiles now and glidey changed the locked tiles to keep tinykittying with me.

Maybe I just have obscenely bad luck with the dude, but it's like he's literally on the other team. Imagine a lineman blocking the route for his own runningback... Repeatedly. That's my experience with him and I just don't know if placement, or even progression, rewards are with dealing with him. I'm tempted to delete him but the completionist in me won't let me do that.

Rant complete, but seriously, can someone please tell me it's temporary and he won't be featured in events much longer. At this point, I don't even care if you lie to me, I just need reason to believe there's a future where I'm not forced to use him.

It’s SUPER hard to tell because things have been off for awhile now that they doubled up the 4s with him and She-Hulk, and also double-evented both Spidey and Doop. But he has been essential 5 times already (twice in a row for his release), so my guess is he probably is finished after this event… (but it’s also possible he’ll get one more event, lol)

I get your point - but ultimately he's super helpful in slowing down tile people.

Hmmm, hate using him…. Feeder for Chasm confirmed.

I'm just pairing him with two heavy hitters and ignoring him.

Even then he just slows down the game with his stupid locks for no good reason.

My guess is that this is his last hurrah.
While I would love him to be featured one more time (I'm only 7 of his covers away from finishing TacoPool), but seeing that SheHulk, Reptil, and now Doop are all in the 4E rotation, being that the new season has started, I expect that Glidey-Spidey is now done.

    I mean, it's a very good reason.

Utilisation like that means he can play at any level. It can be very handy to slow down tiles

I appreciate the various viewpoints. I recognize that people will have different experiences.

Personally, he'd be my first round ban pick, if MPQ had such a mechanic, just so I knew I wouldn't end up with him on my team.

He's not just slowing down CDs, he's disrupting my ability to control the board and even get rid of those CDs altogether.

If others enjoy having him, that's great. Don't let my opinion get in the way of that.

I'm seriously missing out on points because I refuse to use him anymore.... Yes that's my choice, but it's a choice made for my own mental health. I play this game to relax and oscorp causes me stress. It might sound silly, but that's my realty l reality.

Anyway, I'll be glad when he's out of rotation.

Don't get me wrong, I would never use him when he's not required (I have over half 5star champed), but to say he's doesn't have extremely powerful abilities that can change the course of a battle is simply not true.

He does need a little more puzzle work than other characters (like a few recently) which I think it's a fantastic thing as it breathes life into a game that can easily get stale (Polaris/kitty/etc s so...... Very...... Boring)

Who said he "doesn't have extremely powerful abilities that can change the course of the battle"?

I never made any statements about how powerful his abilities are or aren't... Just that I despise his passive.

I keep things fresh by forcing myself to use different teams/theory crafting and trying teams without relying on meta characters except where needed. Oscorp doesn't breath new life into anything for me. I'm so happy to hear how great you think he is, but that doesn't invalidate my experience with him.

I've also gone out of my way to point out that I recognize that others may be having a different experience with him and to respect that.

I really like the characters that add more of a puzzle element to the game for a different feel, but oscorp just feels like he's always in the way. And that's not fun. It's not relaxing. It's not even about the puzzle anymore, it's about overcoming an obstacle placed by your own character.

If an enemy character disrupted my options to that extent, I'd get it, maybe even embrace it and enjoy overcoming it... But it shouldn't be coming from a member of your own team.

Again, just my experience with, and thoughts on, him.

Maybe I shouldn't have vented my frustrations about him and just asked when he would need gone, because that's all I really wanted to know and left it at that.
