Yellowjacket question

I’m new to this forum, so I appreciate any guidance on Yellowjacket from you all. I’ve been stockpiling all of my 5* shards on him and he’s nearly complete.

My question is, what’s considered the best build? Is it 5/5/3? That way he heals while still maximizing his invisibility?

Also, who does he pair best with in PvP, pick two?

I’d be keeping him low in level, since the rest of my roster is still below 280.

Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah, I have a fully covered Mighty Thor and Shang Chi. All are sitting at 255 though. I can champ my Coulson too. My Chavez is only 9 covers but 5 in green. Thanks!

Why would you use YJ when you have Shang and Jane?

Shang's not a good partner as Shang wants you to match red and purple, whereas YJ wants blue, green and black if he's invisible. Also Shang will start tanking as he builds up combo points making it even harder for YJ to stay invisible.

When playing against special tile teams, Kitty can be a good partner. YJ's green removes special tiles thereby helping to set off Kitty's repeater damage that little be quicker. Medusa makes a good 3rd in such a team.

Any invisibility users actually doesn't have partners bit disposable tools.
YJ can heal himself and usually end the battle at full health but any partner won't say the same.
So in the end running an invisibility user means health pack usage.

Surely it means less health pack usage? As you say, YJ generally finishes on full health so won't need a health pack to fight again and if you're running him with two disposable characters, you can just pick another two disposable characters that are on full health rather than re-using the same ones.

If playing for wins, it's ok.
If playing for points then not so good tactic.

You could use Shang Chi, he heals himself on red, and Patch on yellow

I hadn’t realized it was YJ himself that has to make the match. So maybe having a 4 with him might be best after all?

I wonder if Blob would be good given his ability to create shields and what not? He might actually last longer.

I’m thinking of using YJ, since he’d likely be good on defense. I’m still a low level overall; although, I do have some good fully covered (13) 5* toons.
