New Blog: What makes Chasm tick?

Most of the answers to your questions can be found in the first blog and the dev Q&A (designing characters and their powers in general).

Designing powers is a creative and subjective experience. As the dev shared, Chasm is a character players either like or dislike, and they are still monitoring the situation. Unfortunately, you are on the dislike camp.

The ex-dev shared that they use excel formula to balance damage and ap cost. The new dev team is very likely to tweak those formulas.

As for how many iterations and tweaks, I don't think there's a fixed number because it has been shown in the past that the new dev do really last minute tweaks or changes to powers and their numbers even after their previews with numbers are out. For example, Mighty Thor's abilities went through some changes after her info was released.

I don't hate the character, I hate his AP drain because it's a repressive game mechanic no matter which side he's on. He's aggressively unfun to use or face.

I love using him. Pair him with MightyThor and whomever and the AP drain doesn't really matter.

I agree with this. My Shield SIM team is Chasm, mThor, and Silk and it is a ton of fun with all the board shake. I also used this in the challenge node the final day of HoD against Dr. Strange, Natasha, and Chavez and nearly all of of my ap was in double digits at the end. Against goons I don't find Chasm functionally different that Gritty, whom I run him with. After all, I personally don't fire powers using them against goons; who wants Kitty boosting protects that never get used or baby Groot matching away strike tiles. I just watch the strikes get bigger.

People who hate using Chasm should really stop using him with iHulk. There are lots of teams that he is both good with and are a lot of fun.

The problem is people are constantly worri d about defence or being hit sometimes it s about enjoying the game and giving back points to people sharing is caring lol

Without being paired with hulk he's pretty much a cupcake to take down. So pick your poison there

If u were to playing chasm with anybody other than ihulk and to an extent immortal she hulk u better be taking the boosted five star than chasm as his meta pretty much depends on the above two

Not necessarily true. MT works just fine and is actually faster for me than iHulk/iSheHulk in PVP.

I meant the defensive meta not saying other s should not be used but they are less of a scarecrow than both hulks with chasm
