9th Anniversary Character Mini-Vault (10/4/22)

Hi Everyone - 

We wanted to share the introduction of a previously not shared Daily Play activity that will go live starting tomorrow (10/5) and run through October 12.  

Be rewarded with (1) 9th Anniversary Character Mini-Vault token each day by winning one mission pin with one of the following characters listed below.

  • Wolverine (X-Force)
  • Devil Dinosaur (Gigantic Reptile)
  • Cyclops (Classic)
  • Gwenpool (Gwen Poole)
  • Gambit (Modern)
  • Taskmaster (Tony Masters)
  • Spider-Man 2099 (Miguel O'Hara)

    Is the Mini Vault different than the full anniversary vault? I can’t tell based on this.

    It just worked but the vault is in post event.

    Not broken. Just that daily tokens appear to refresh earlier in the day, but vaults don’t usually open until around 8-9am PST. 

    But this confirms it’s a separate vault and not the anniversary vault (which would have been way too generous to give us that many free tokens). We’ll see who’s in this new vault soon, but I’m guessing it’ll be some fan favorite 4s (with tons of 2s and some 3s, like all vaults).

    I'm guessing it'll be an assortment of covers/shards for the anniversary characters listed, which give tokens to it. Maybe some Ghostpool shards? Is mini-vault the standard term for the 40 item vaults?

    It's probably MPQ original character vault.

    30 vault has 3 X covers of limited covers (not Spider-Ham) an LT, Iso. Mighty and heroics

    Taskmaster is still giving out an expired token to this vault; PSA till that gets fixed.

    The token for the mini-vault goes to a post-event vault. Not sure what happened to my token for playing with Gambit (normal anniversary vault) that seems to have disappeared.

    The vault closed yesterday, so anybody still giving out tokens is probably a bug. I'd imagine Taskmaster is doing it because that event started while the vault was open or something; maybe there's a code hook tied to the event rather than only the character, I couldn't say.

    Here are the last three items in the special events section of the ninth anniversary details initial post:
    - Anniversary Special Vault - 10/13 - 10/22: Contains Dapper Dino and Taskmaster Tactical Costumes, Heroic Tokens, Mighty Tokens, Fan Favorite Tokens, and more!
    - (1) Free Special Vault Token - 10/13 - 10/16
    - Special Vault Daily Play Token - 10/13 - 10/22. Use Howard the Duck, Taskmaster, or Devil Dino

    I presume that the new mini-vault just hasn't gone live yet.
