MPQ Ninth Anniversary - Snapshot and Progress

Before MPQ's ninth anniversary begins, take a moment to post or load pictures of your current status and list the goals you hope to accomplish over the course of the anniversary month.

Examples of  current stats and anticipated goals:

• Characters to cover
• Characters to champ
• Characters to roster
• SCL
• ISO and HP amounts
• Anything!

When the anniversary is over, respond back to your post to see how your roster has changed and whether you achieved/changed your goals.

I'm not sure how much 9th anniversary is going to affect my goals, but i'm SUPER close to being caught up to latest on 5* champs. I need 10 more 4* Black Widow covers and 250 Black Suit Spider-Man shards, and I'm ~10 shards away from Jane being champable, so hopefully we're in for Double Iso.

Aside from that I'm just hype for Arcade and Murderworld, I've long wanted to see how that made its way to the game.

My main goal is to get my first 5* champ in Shang Chi. I’m only 140 shards away from getting there so that’s priority 1. I’m 3 more promoted 4*’s away from getting another 120 shards and I have 2 that are champable now just needing iso and She Hulk is a power away and Quake being 2 from being champed so either one of them would be my third. 

My hope is to be able to champ Shang Chi without using that reward towards him as I could put that toward my next 5* I want to work on, but we’ll see where that goes. I’d love to use them toward Mighty Thor as I have 350 shards for her so we’ll just see how the month plays out. 

And I guess my other goal would be to get my roster over 200. I’m at 192 now and with the boss events, Doop and Arcade(at least the 3 star should be easily attainable for me) that’ll put me at 196 so picking up 4 others would put me there.

I'll be going into the anniversary with approximately 88K iso, 23K hp, 1500 cp, and 80 LTs (the new rotation lands during the anniversary, so they will have some impact on the favorited characters).

In 5* land, I plan to champ my lvl 375, fully-covered KK as well as my lvl 405, 10-covered BRB. (BRB and lvl 285 Throg will be favorited during the anniversary.) My lvl 420, 11-covered Kitty is also a possible upcoming champion. 

I'm down to 34 unchamped 4*s. Once I've finished investing the iso into the 5*s, I'll start champing any 4*s that are currently established feeders (12 of them). 5/4/3 Devil Dino and 5/4/2 Taskmaster are looking forward to being 13-cover characters. However, there appears to be no anniversary love for my 3/3/3 Spider-Ham, who will be my final undercovered 4*.

10/2 Update
Thanks to the anniversary store, BRB now has 11 covers.

10/3 Update
Within the first few hours of the day (MPQ day), both BRB and Kitty are at 13 covers. Now I'm on to collecting iso and getting those missing limited edition covers.
  - End of day update: Champed BRB and Kitty.

10/5 Update
Champed KK as planned. Got the 13th unique cover for Devil Dino, who I immediately champed because he was at level 250 with a handful of saved covers.

10/8 Update 
Sold off 19 max champed 3*s that had a champed clone, leading to champing Dr. Thor, Hulkling, Beast, Gorr, and Spider-Man (Infinity War).

10/11 Update
Taskmaster now has 13 covers, and I champed Shuri. 

10/16 Update 
Picked up Taskmaster's costume from the mini-vault. Fingers crossed that I get the Dapper Dino!

10/19 Update 
Champed Chasm. 

10/20 Update
Dapper Dino. 'Nuff said.

10/21 Update
Champed Cyclops who immediately leveled up to 292. Saved covers/shards is one of the best enhancements to the game!

10/23 Update 
Champed Carnage. Quick champ turnaround via max champ 3* sell and Shield Level increment. 

10/29 Update 
Champed 4* She-Hulk. 5* She-Hulk has 13+ covers, so hopefully I’ll champ her right before anniversary ends. Otherwise, it might be possible to champ a 4* every week at 2x iso levels.

11/2 Update
All supports are now max leveled. Will 5* She-Hulk be champed before 2x iso ends? I'm a few hundred thousand iso short, so it's not promising. 

11/4 Update
This is the last update as only the Daily Deadpool finishes its 2x iso schedule. That being said, I have champed 5* She-Hulk.

Posted and deleted about spider ham because it occurred to me he might not be joining us for the celebration.  If that's the case than I'll treat this the same as any other season, accumulate as much resources as possible and continue with my current plan/goals.

Far as I know Ham is really only available off that one node in the final round of Battle at the Basilica? Or is it Sinister 600? One of the spider man alliance events. And in progression of they run his PVP. For whatever reason he doesn’t usually get the same anniversary treatment we see for Devil D and Taskmaster.

I'll have to check over the weekend, but I could've swore he was heavily available during last years anniversary or holiday season.  It's how I got him as far along as he is.

Well after day 1 of the Fan Favorites store and vault I’ve already accomplished my number 1 goal of champing Shang Chi. Now to see how many 4*’s I can champ this month with all that double iso.

I pulled a 40 pack and got six 5 stars. Two of each, and 2 FF tokens. Will probably reset and try again tomorrow.

Well I have an ultimate goal for this anniversary, to get my 2/2/2 sang chi champ!
2 days earlier, I bought 2x 40 pack at the anniv vault + some pulls at fan favorites store, now he is 3/5/4, looking forward to get few more..

My main goal is to add more covers to my 2/1/2 Shang-Chi. So far 0-for-26 between my 24 vault pulls and 2 FF Tokens. Hope springs eternal though. Secondary goal would be to add some covers for BRB, whom I only have two of (I'm not very lucky when it comes to token pulls in general).

I don't know how your situation is HP wise, but the 9th anniversary vault has 9 5* (3 Kitty, 3 Shang and 3 BRB). A 40-pack is 9800 hp as a daily deal. This seems to give a much better shot at the covers you are after.

As the previous post said that vault is juicy for that. I didn’t have the HP stacked for a 40pack so I spent $20 on HP to pull a 10pack and that landed me a Shang Chi cover and a Kitty cover plus 2900 HP which let me pull another 10pack the next day which landed me another Shang Chi cover.

Not sure how many DD or taskmaster covers will be available but would be nice to get DD to level 340

Would like to get every good cover from the second anniversary store

Ive already grabbed 20 from the first one but I already have the 3 5*s champed so don’t need any more from there really

Yeah unfortunately I don't have the HP for a 40-pack and I've purchased two 10-packs already. Today's pull yielded another 2-star, so at least my odds in the future are getting better!

So before the previous vault went away, I wound up pulling another Shang Chi from the vault, along with another BRB and some fan favorites. As things stand now, my SC is 4/1/2 while by BRB is 3/3/1, so some improvement there, especially since my Bill was only 1/2/0 before.

The unexpected 5* in the vault had the basic effect of raising my MMR as I added champ levels to Kitty, BRB & Shang, lol but no real drama. I've decided to hold fire on more Doc Strange levels at this time (although even when boosted champed he could sure use some more health which levels would help with) 

I have made a solid start on Doop and with 3* Emma champed I can turn my attention to Arcade - although I must say he doesn't excite me from his Boss Event but perhaps he will be much more interesting when his 5/3 hits.

I have all the limited characters champed so whatever covers they accumulate is gravy.

Jane and Chasm are both champed, I need just 1290 shards for 4* widow (just over 3 covers) to finish 5* Widow. Double Iso has been working great to avoid bottlenecking on champing after the covers arrive. 

I'm glad to see the Taskmaster movie suit costume in the second mini character vault, I think that was paywall lockedwhen it came out. I'm debating whether or not to pull a 10-pack in there rather than the big second anniversary vault since everything in there is just additional for me rather than something new.

I am also weighing that up as I would like both Dino & TM costumes very much.

I lucked out with the Dino suit when it first came available; it's probably the dopest costume in game. I wish dino was good so i'd see it more often lol.

The two I missed that I really wanted were Netflix Daredevil and Pouch Cable; but I never have that kind of cp saved up and I don't think Pouch Cable has been available outside of that one time it was in progression in that one event.

*edit* Today's howard the duck token landed me the Taskmaster costume, so I'll probably drop for a 10-pack in the regular anniversary vault instead now.

I had the Dino one already (last Anniversary). I wanted TM and bought a 10 pack and his costume was the first token opened so I should have just waited for the free token to the vault and I would have gotten it - LOL. I did get an Fan Favorites LT and a 4* plus some assorted stuff so it's not a total waste to get the 10 pack.
