Smash Hit 4* Progression isn't Bishop, it's Black Cat. Intentional?

I guess at this point I'm curious if the placement rewards have been intentionally decoupled from the following event's progression reward?

    Feels like they started a new 4* cycle and are going alphabetical from the top.
    So Bishop - Black Cat - Blade - etc.

    I don't know WHY, though.
    And they only inserted spidey into placement, not prog, so it's lagging by one event.
