Allowing D3 to make some money while improving gameplay.

This probably belongs in the suggestion forum, but I am approaching this from a theoretical perspective. A lot of complaints (including mine) stem from the frustration that D3 is just looking to make money and thus have made our life difficult by forcing transactions. it is difficult to appreciate that perspective because nobody from D3 is allowed to defend that position, so we have created this greedy monster that everyone takes a turn bashing. Clintman's post about maximizing D3's revenue while increasing gaming experience has struck a chord though.
Surely everyone would love for everything to just be free and call it a day. More slots, more covers, more, more, more. But that is not reality.
So one thing that D3 might consider is allowing for options to spend some money upfront in lieu of spending money in increments.
What if there was an option to increase health pack number permanently for a fixed one time cost, of lets say, 10 dollars.
So you can choose to pay 10 bucks, and have your health pack count go up to 8. So it will automatically regenerate up to 9, instead of 5 An additional increase could cost another $10, but take the maximum number to 12.
This is a clear business decision from their side, but I know that as a hardcore gamer, I personally dislike the micro transaction mechanism, however something I can permanently rely on is attractive.
