Change to retaliations?

Perhaps this has been mentioned already, but I noticed something in PvP today that I hadn't previously seen, and didn't see anyone talking about it here. I know tanking has been changed a lot recently, but until today it was still working for me more or less. So at the beginning of Fresh Cut I had put in unleveled Psy, mStorm, cHawkeye, and accumulated some 20-odd losses. Today I began my climb with my 2* team of OBW and Ares (natch), up to around 550 or so. Weirdly, along the way I was getting hit and losing to quite a few 1* teams with a max level of anywhere from 2 (not counting the loaner Psy) to 30. This would only be possible if the other players were still hitting my tank team despite my 2* team being the last one used. So has this been the case for some time now and I just didn't notice it, or is it a new change?

TMK retal always fights exactly the team you hit them with.

Your team that gets offered for a new pull is the one you won last game.
But offers are cached at least 3 fights right in the nodes and several more (like 3-5? that is hard to say) internally.

So many people can have your tank team in their caches when you already fight with something else. If they skip they can only get your most recent team but until then you can lose points by beating your tank team like that. It was the case for long time.

But I only had one fight with my tank team, against a seed team. So you're saying all these other people had my tank team in a node from before I switched?

Yes i that what he is saying. You taking team might be queue in a node before you switch but people play them after you switch so you can lose to very bad team.

It is not advisable to tank in event that you care about the reward because you might get hit cheaply and hinder your progression.
