Lack of pvp character variety

I have lurked for a long while gathering tips and info from the many helpful forum goers but I felt the need to post a question as I had been a way for a while. These last three pvp events the only characters I see to play against are Magneto, Patch, 3* Thor and very occasionally a BP or Hood or a 3* Daken. I don't see the Punisher, GSBW, Hulk or Spiderman much anymore. Reading the patch notes I see changes to Spiderman which explains him I guess.

Are these the only viable characters left or has it just been an unlucky streak? The lack of variety makes the PVE event that was just run stand out as much more interesting and enjoyable than grinding against the same few people over and over.

    I think this has just been bad luck for you. I see Punisher all the time, and Occasionally Hulk and Spidey. Frankly, after they fixed Spidey's purple, he is still a viable character to help protect. I also think, Mags and Patch are a really strong offensive combo, so you tend to see them a lot.

    I thought this was going to be a complaint about the 2 star MMR variety.

    3 star seems pretty healthy to me. Although the amount of Pun/OBW teams I run into can be a bit much at times. I'll hit skip 4 times and have to do a double take to make sure I'm not getting the same player.

    Not that it really matters to me, all these characters just represent a pile of hit points I need to move through. I barely even factor in who the enemies are most of time.

    Unless it's maxed LT/BP/Cmags. I covet my health packs.

    Berserker Rage + 2AP damage abilities = dead opponents very quickly.

    I don't fear BP in PVP. Given that I run Punisher and occasionally Psylocke, I don't mind matching black early and often, which means BP is just a pile of hit points to eat through. Hulk I see quite a bit (and with Lazy Daken, I suspect we'll see him more). With strike tiles, his black at 5 deals ridiculous damage. It pretty much means you have to 1-shot him or those anger countdowns will maul you.

    BWGS is one of my 3x 141's, so I do run her often. If you want variety, look for my awesome BWGS, Pun, IM40 team. They're all 141, but really easy to take down. =P
