Women's history month is over. Should MPQ keep the new covers or not?

Not all of them but some are certainly worth keeping. To name one, mainly Thor’s. It’s so insanely good. What I wish honestly was a way to have your covers have skins too. Mostly to switch out the variants you like and want to keep.

New covers should be unlocks.

Pick a time frame with the event. Women's History Month is 30 days, Halloween might be a week, Anniversary might be two, etc.

During that time frame, everyone sees the new covers as "default."

Play X out of Y days during that time frame (20/30 for WHM?), you "unlock" the new cover.

After the event, you can go to the character and "select" which cover you want to see (same way you'd select costumes). Then that becomes the new cover (for you only) all the time. New promo covers still override this (so if you unlock a cover for Women's History Month, and choose that over the default, it doesn't prevent you from seeing Halloween covers, for example).

Thus, there's an incentive for players to play (it's not as simple as logging in once during the event), and something for players to earn over time (longer you play, more covers you have). The only thing it needs is a way to show them off to other players (so someone can see covers that others players have earned and think "I want that!" like they can with characters/costumes, to entice them a little).

I don't think it makes any difference. How often do you consciously look at those covers anyway? I did that only once and that was during its first appearance.
