Hi Everyone –

Here are the R249 Release Notes.

“Stop hammer time…”

  • Check out the newly rebalanced Star-Lord!
  • Get hyped for an April Fools Bag-Man PvP run ending 4/4!
  • Take on a new round of Puzzle Ops! Ending 4/7!
  • Jump straight into the new PVP season of Power!
  • Prepare for a colossal boss battle when Galactus enters the arena!

Additional Details:

  • The pop-ups for selecting a SHIELD Clearance Level and a Time Offset for Versus and Story events have a new visual style.
  • Fixed issues with spelling and grammar in multiple languages.

    Hammer Time reminds me of Thor. Hela stopped his hammer but she's in the game already.

    Moon Knight can control his hammer and we don't have a tie-in for his tv series yet. So, 5* Moon Stone.

    I hope the change is for 5* Starlord.

    Khonshu-616 looks way cooler than Moon Knight. I don't mind seeing Khonshu instead.

    Great point about the title….Random not going to happen guess…Unus the Untouchable.

    Maybe Iron Patriot is getting revived from the depths of the XBLA version of the game as a H.A.M.M.E.R. Reference?

    *edit* crud; forgot I was only pitching Gargantos (Shuma Gorath)…let’s see…MC Hammer…MC= Marvel vs Capcom…Shuma Gorath has 5 arms and is a star so obviously a 5*…that work checks out, that’s at least as much connection as previous characters have gotten.

    I think it's hard to narrow this one down given how broad the clue is. Is it hammer related? Is it related to things that can't be touched? So I did some googling and found one character that fits the clue that I think would be a fun addition to MPQ (but I highly doubt this is the character being added):

    I’m going with the Time manipulator Kang who is long overdue , and present in the “MC” Universe , deserves a 5* as well.

    Feels like a direct reference to Moon Knight, which also fits with the imminent release of the series... But April fools day is fast approaching, as well...

    U Can't Touch This (Hammer Time) is a song by MC Hammer...

    Who also performed Pumps and a Bump...

    Which sampled Baby Got Back, by Sir Mix-a-lot...
