Soulherder ability

So I recently got my hands on Soulherder, and it has the ability that reads "When a creature card enters an exile: This creature gets +1/+1".

Now, the impression I get from reading that is that it's not just from the field or your hand, it's from anywhere, right? Including graveyards?

Because I just put together a Gideon of the Trials deck with as many exile triggers and ETB effects to exploit Soulherder's second ability, including Emergency Powers (Each player discards their hands, exiles their graveyards and draws 6 cards). When I cast Emergency Powers with Soulherder on the field, it didn't get any buff despite the fact that I discarded and then exiled two creatures from my hand (regardless of how many were in the opponent's hand). Shouldn't it have gotten two +1/+1 triggers?

Am I reading this wrong? I'm not sure if this is a bug due to an unusual card interaction or just me misreading the ability - it really sounds to me like Soulherder's ability should trigger when exiling from graveyards.

Thanks,

Apologies for a double post but I tried a similar combination in another deck with another card with an exile from graveyard effect - Grafdigger's Cage (When ~ ETBs, exile all graveyards. 1/round when a card enters a graveyard from anywhere, exile it. When a player fetches a card, they discard a card.)

Playing THAT with Soulherder in play triggered Soulherder's buff (exiling creatures that were already in graveyards), so I think the earlier example was just a bad interaction between Soulherder and Emergency Powers?

Sounds like you should make a video of this, screenshot some battle logs, and submit this as a ticket.
    Nice catch.
