Google Play Service loss of saved game

I kept getting an error saying that Google Play Services needs to install an update. Once the update was installed I had to select Google Play saved data again. The game said the saved data had been restored but I have no saved data. 

How can I get my data back? I've been playing the game on and off for years and don't want to lose that progress.

    Contact customer service and give them your in game name. They can help you restore your account.
