Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Vanguards [Investigating]

Vanguards being a legendary support, Sakashima does infact reinforce them when they are cast to the battlefield (except for Jace, Mirror Mage VG - which makes sense sorta as Jace says that it can't be reinforced and just makes extra copies with its kicker ablity). However, when Sakashima of a Thousand Faces does it's reinforcement of cast vanguards, it seems to disable the vanguard until the end of the turn.

Normally this might not be noticed unless the player gets an extra swap in the same turn as the vanguard cast. It may be that however SoaTF works counts as a vanguard activation.

Another thing to note: One can get around the VGs being disabled with Kasmina, Enigma Sage's planeswalker ability 2's support - Unsolved Enigma. While that emblem support is out, subsequent planeswalker ability uses will allow one to use Sakashima-cast vanguards. This can be easily replicated with using Alrund's Epiphany in the deck as well, to easily get extra swaps.
