Attention all S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents - It's time for another monthly forum contest, and another opportunity to enter for a chance to win cool stuff!
Did you know that costumes make Heroes more powerful? It's true! Studies have shown that Heroes who wear costumes perform up to 36% better in the field than those wearing more mundane suits or uniforms. Given this disparity, it's a wonder we haven't seen more logic driven heroes like Vision or Amadeus Cho out there in a clown outfit or miming it up. The data is there, follow the data!
In Marvel Puzzle Quest, there are currently 6 characters with real costumes and not just some spruced up look. These are: Cloak and Dagger (Death), Deadpool (Piratepool), Devil Dinosaur (Dapper Dino), Jessica Jones (Sherlock), Mysterio (Snow Globe), and Scarlet Witch (Bewitching). Each of these characters (except for one!) win more often when Agents use them in battle, but some of the costumed characters win more than others!
For this forum contest, we want to see if you can you tell us which costumed characters are more successful, and which one manages to *lose* more often while dressed up for a Halloween bash? We'll be giving out prizes for the top 3 contestants with the best guesses!
To Enter:
Guess the order of which costumed characters had the highest winning percentage compared to their original counterparts in the past 12 months, and which costumed character managed to lose more matches. Then, post a 1 through 6 ranking list. Rank 1 will be the costumed character with the highest winning percentage, Rank 5 will be the costume with the lowest winning percentage, and Rank 6 will be your guess on the losing costume.
Winners will be selected based on a points system. Points are calculated by how close your ranking is to the actual ranking. Correctly guessing a ranking will grant you +6 Points, with a total of 36 Points. Each rank you guess incorrectly will result in -1 points for each rank difference. For example, if Mysterio (Snow Globe) had the highest win rate at Rank 1 but you ranked him at Rank 5, a total of -4 Points will be deducted for that guess.
We hear you about the different time zones when we put up a contest post, so we changed the rules and added in a tiebreaker instead of saying “First Entry Wins.” So take your time on this one, but not too long since we'll only be accepting entries until 10/28!
The Tie-breaker:
For the costumed character that actually wins less than their original counterpart, guess the total difference in wins-per-loss between the costume and original characters. For example, if the original character has 5 wins per loss, and the costume only has 2 wins per loss, the answer will be 3. Add this number at the bottom of your response under “Tie-breaker.”

Rules & Regs:
Entries will be accepted until 11:59 PM PST Thursday (10/28/21). Any submissions after this time will not be accepted. One entry per player. Agents may update their guess while the contest is open, but edits made after the deadline will not count. Winners will be decided on Friday, 10/29/21 and announced soon after. S.H.I.E.L.D. admins will PM the winners. Winners must respond within 48 hours to claim or they will forfeit the prize. Forum names will be shared publicly after winners are confirmed.
*Any Agents that do not have an MPQ account or don’t wish to take a prize may instead pass that prize onward to the next closest Agent in points.
