Kianne, Dean of Substance does not increase Fractal token level [Investigating]

Kianne should create a Fractal token when I use loyalty abilities then increase the level of the token by X where X is the number of different nonLand cards in my exile. 
Kianne creates the token but its level only increases by 1 each time (I suspect because of the token's own text when it is reinforced) despite there being 5 and then 6 different nonLand cards in my exile the two times I noticed and checked this.
