    Before he became Wolverine's boogeyman, Sabretooth debuted in the last issue of IRON FIRST in the 70's...as the story was written by Claremont and drawn by Byrne, the intention to make him Wolverine's dad--NEMESIS!  I mean nemesis! was there from the start...although it did lead to a weird stretch of time where Sabretooth was a recurring villain in POWER MAN AND IRON FIST paired with another baddie...

    (Ian--can you name the other villain who had a partnership in PM/IF?  He wasn't a mutant...)
