can we please have a function to hide PW's from the lists?

I have about 75 planeswalkers, most of which is rarely or even never play (including the original 5)

It's be really really nice to ide pw's you dislike from the game and only see the ones you think are relevant when selecting on in an event.

It could be done ib the Planeswalker menu,  add a checkbox we can uncheck if we want.

Me, i'd hide ALL the chandra's, some nissa's and lilli's all ajani's  (yep @bken1234 they really stink, even if he has abs), the dovin's can go too  and so on.

I think a better solution would be to be able to "favorite" our most used walkers.
Functionally its the same but its probably better to spin it as a positive aesthetic instead of negative
(either way its definitely a function we need though)

how ever you call it, lol, just as long as I can have a smaller list of PW's

The only reservation I have with a fave list is that the dev's might decide to limit the amount just as they did with decks

Being able to reorder the planeswalker list is probably all we need.  You can put the ones you want closer to the front, but still have the others for the off chance you want to play it.  You dont have to favorite it, so they cant limit it.  If that isnt feasible, making the large grid planeswalker selection screen the default would help a lot too.

Honestly i'd rather hide than sort, but i'll take anything.

Oktagon, will you take all my chandra's back? please?

My preference on this would be to have an interface that allowed us to filter the list of planeswalkers, similar how the filter for cards works.  Show me all the planeswalkers that start with Chandra.  Or show me all the red planeswalkers.  Or show me the planewalkers with these keywords in their abilities, etc.

But I would take any of the above options as well as any of them are better than what we have.

Here's how I would not like to see a filter implemented: open the planeswalker selection, open a menu, then select the filter, close the menu, and finally select the planeswalker.

Here's a better system: Apply filter by default, so every time the planeswalker selection is viewed the filter is applied without me having to turn it on (although, I am allowed to turn it off)

I agree with this sentiment.  A filter system that has to be applied each and every time doesnt solve my issue with the planeswalker selection process, which is it's far too slow.  If a filter takes just as long as scrolling, it doesnt solve that problem.

I like the sorting idea, though the UI would probably still be slow as molasses since the list would be the same size. A toggle-able filter that would be on by default would be better. But we don't even have a standard/legacy filter so I wouldn't expect something like this anytime soon.

As a software engineer, I will say that a selectable list of 70 items will not inherently run considerably slower than one of 20.
I would normally agree 100%, however there is a significant difference in performance of the UI when using the View All button PW list on a node that is color restricted (like TotP) and has like 2/3 less PWs versus the list on an any color node.

After watching the helpful brit in that video, I too feel that it smells like a memory leak.
Although my PW selection screen never scrolls that smoothly.
I had a feeling that even after an app bounce, it would still be laggy.
It is, but a bit less...so yeah, that PW selection screen sucks.

If I remember right this is actually the improved PW selection screen, albeit from several years ago at this point.  It used to be slower than this.

He would need a lot more jewels than that to flex on everyone.  Some of us are true hoarders and practically never spend jewels.

I'll probably start spending them after Urza rotates out of Standard ^_^

I really hope there is something as must have as Urza/Song/Ruinous Ultimatum with the next set.  I need something to get with mine.
