Mascot Exhibition does not grant leader to art elemental created by Magma Opus

Event: standard training ground

What happened:
1. Cast Magma Opus, create a(n) art elemental (which is blue & red)
2. Cast Phylath, World Sculptor, creating some forest elemental tokens
3. Cast Mascot exhibition 
4. Art elemental does not have leader: elemental and do not merge with my forest tokens

It doesn't say so on the card but it doesn't give leader to token creatures, the first thing I tested when STX released was to give Chromanticore all leader types from the card since it has all colours.

It didn't work 😔
