Hixus/Dire Tactics

Two strange Hixus interactions in the same match today. 

I was Daxos, opponent was playing Angrath Flame Chained. I had a stacked Hixus in play with 3 shields.

1. Greg used Angrath's 2nd to steal my Greater Eidolon token stack, attacked me with it, which disabled it (via my Hixus). This meant it didn't destroy itself (Angrath's 2nd gives the creature Haste and "This creature is destroyed at end of turn".) So at the end of turn I got back a disabled token stack. All fair and within card and ability descriptions, just an odd interaction.

However...

2. I used Dire Tactics to exile greg's 7/7 dragon, while Hixus was in play on my side, and I still took 7 damage. DT reads "If you don't control a Human, you lose life..." NOT "If you don't control a Human creature..." (Hixus is an Enchantment Human Soldier).

Either DT needs to specify Human creature in its text, or it needs to recognise non-creature Humans.

On the flip side, the only time I've used Dire Tactics in a match it never hit me for damage even though there were no humans on the battlefield/board
