Broken Rewards Cycle (concerning Electro)

Generic shards is the same thing as favourite shards. It's generic because it can be applied to anyone of your choice in that tier, just like how favourite shards are applied to any character of your choice, except for limited, 1* and 2* characters.

If it takes playing scl 10 pve held over 3-4 days to earn 250 shards, I don't know what kind of monstrosity we will be facing if they condense it into 5-10 nodes of non-time based pves. Level 900-1000 enemies with no boosted characters from the players' ends? Whale is blocked from being used in any form?

They are giving some of the best rewards in game, puzzle gauntlet without facing many monstrosities and running confortably in one week. 
It seems like talking about new content for the game can be some kind of heresy.
New content only improves the game and first devs always are checking their data before making it regular or cancelling it.
By the fact I would love to face monstrosities although it is not expected to happen. Same as receiving generic shards.

New contents are always welcomed. The problem comes when the expectation for big reward is high, which leads to disappointment.

Specific Support Tokens are highly subjected to RNG, and you have at most three opportunities to get R5 or R4 support once per month. At the current rate, it will take them ~4 years to go through one cycle.

Generic 5* shards is probably the second most valuable, if not, the most valuable prize in the game. It will take you 167 pulls to get 1 cover of 5* shards.  It will be awesome if they add generic 5* shards or even additional specific 5* shards in your non-typical pve, but don't expect 250 5* shards. It's likely to be 50 shards.

Yeah...uhm...this has sort'a spiralled from where I started...lol. I was just looking for another place to put the new character shards so PvE didn't get affected! Back to you guys!

Tying the 5* release to boss events would be interesting. No one would notice or care if they replaced the single 4* on the personal progression with new release 5* shards and pushed the rotation to the next event.

This is my favorite of the suggestions so far, it's unobtrusive and should give everyone what they want.

I'm not sure why quitting the game is an option for such a trivial matter, but to each his own. You can still make full progression in SCL 10, and from the looks of things, I don't think you play for T10 in SCL 10. Each latest 5* is featured approximately 5 times, so you can get up to 1250/2.5 covers of the latest 5* before they leave LTs.
