Watch Ad with Inbox open permanently deactivates menus [Investigating]

With the Inbox open, opening the main menu and tapping "Watch Ad" causes the main menu, inbox and buy crystal options at the top of the screen to become inactive (as they always do when clicking Watch Ad), however with the Inbox open, the Watch Ad popup never appears and these options remain inactive even after closing the Inbox. You can continue to navigate the game in other ways, but the only way I have found to reactivate these top items is to force-close the app.

To be clear, here are steps to reproduce:
1) Open the app. From any screen with the main menu / inbox / runes / jewels / crystal bar at the top of the screen, click the Inbox (envelope) icon to open the Inbox.
2) Open the main menu by clicking on the three horizontal lines in the top bar.
3) Click Watch Ad in the Main Menu
