Prodigal Sun: The Unfinished Story...

Why are you going to have us start a story without us being able to see the ending? Somehow you managed to keep us from finishing the storyline in Wakanda (or did the Avengers just not come to help Wakanda (racist???)), and then we didn't get to finish Hell's Kitchen's storyline either due to you putting the same performance requirements on the Mayhem Meter as before (like we would be able to perform better with higher scaling).

Now the same thing is happening in the latest sub-event, Thunderbolts Mountain...

There's nothing I hate worse than missing out on story (even with it being as barebones as these are) so please just cut the Mayhem Meter requirement to 250m. We already know you're not offering a crazy reward at the end from the 2 sub-events we did finish so what's the point in holding out?

  • yeah, I am not sure what the point of this is at all,, they appear to be experimenting and it doesnt make a whole lot of sense. Hopefully they will learn from their mistakes
  • Because everyone wants to unlock those subs... so much that they will damage themselves and keep buyinghealth packs to try to get enough points to unlock it.

It's pretty clear from the last few PvE progression rewards (this one being an outlier of course) that they're not all that good at estimating/calculating player behavior and how many points they will grind for. I'm with you though - really don't understand why they would choose a number that even if their calculations are correct, maybe we'll get there with an hour left. Why not err on the side of being achievable for something like this unless they don't actually want us to reach the goal. When all it's doing is adding a few nodes and one or two cutscenes, why not throw us a bone and make it more likely to happen than not?
  • They could always have the number removed and just have a bar. That way the end number could be dynamic. If less and less people are playing then an algorithm adjusts the score to be lower so the final nodes are always unlocked with 12-15 hours remaining or earlier if loads of people get keen.

    Don't worry.

You're going to see this event another 5 times over the next 6 months.
  • Target cut down to 250m. Seem like they heard you. Well done. Please make a statement about all the other issues that need fixing.
Pretty please, i beg of you.
  • I think they read this thread because it's just been changed! If I'm looking at it right its 250m now.

They add this restriction to force us to play, but when we don't they change the numbers so we can get the additional content anyway? I really don't the point in adding it at all. They should have everything open from the start and focus their energy in fixing all the broken things in the game. It's one of the simplest games we get to play and they mess up quite a lot lately. They should avoid complexity if they can't handle it. Stick to the things that matter and make sure they work.

The answer is simple. They do not know what they are doing. They have proven this time and again.

Wrong. It's called design by numbers - telemetry-based numbers, ofc. The sad part is that the numbers they're after have nothing to do with how fun the game is and everything to do with exploiting whales.

Turns out you were wrong there.

They did it specifically to show me up.
