Obosh, then preypiercer not granting double strike [Can’t reproduce]

  Obosh companion ability did not grant double strike when in play and not disabled. Two possibilities;

  1) volcanic salvo had cost reduced to an even number which somehow disabled the odd-number trigger for companion?

  2) opponent matched blue mana and increased the cost of a spell in hand to an even number?

  In either case, don’t think the companion ability should have been disabled as the ability text says that it should look at the starting cost - therefore should not have been affected by in-game events. 

  Note - in the previous game in the event with the same PW & deck, the companion ability had properly triggered (perhaps because the possible causes above did not happen?

Almost been a year, time for a bump.

Just played a match in the "A Journey Through History: A Nightmare of War" event on the 3rd fight, "Pulse of Might". My deck was:

And my PW was Sarkhan Unbroken. All of those cards have an odd base mana cost and yet Obosh was not granting double strike through it's Companion ability.
