Rite of Flame Doesn't Fill Stored Mana (Extension of "What is Full Mana?" Discussion)[As Designed]

This continues the discussion found here about what exactly defines "full mana" in this game.
In this example, Rite of Flame is either disabled when it could fill Volcanic Geyser's stored mana, or it bypasses Volcanic Geyser and fills the next card with mana even though Volcanic Geyser had empty stored mana.
Disabled Scenario - Zendikar Expeditions (Halimar); Koth vs Sarkhan Unbroken
Here we see that Rite of Flame is disabled because it has no target, yet VG has room for 7 more stored mana. The Battle Log did not indicate that Sarkhan played anything to disable cards in my hand.
Bypass Scenario - Standard Training Grounds; Koth vs Garruk Unleashed
Here we see Rite of Flame bypass VG's stored mana, instead choosing to fill the next card in hand.

GD: These cards add value to cards with Stored Mana and similar cards. Unless the card's normal Mana Bar is already filled. In this case, it is considered Full Mana, and the Stored Mana is ignored, passing the mana earned to the next card available in the player’s hand.

I believe this only adds to the confusion. Most cards that give cards "full mana" will fill stored mana, too. For example, Double Vision will fill the stored mana of Volcanic Geyser. Yet, the GD answer above makes it sound like full mana and stored mana are completely separate entities, in which case Double Vision should only give Volcanic Geyser 4 mana to "fill" it while leaving its stored mana empty.
Can you please ask them to think beyond this specific scenario and consider all scenarios where the term "full mana" is used in various cards? We would very much like to understand the definition of that term.

And maybe “gaining mana” (as is written on Rite of Flame) means something totally different in context and that should be defined alongside this conversation. Regardless, it might help to point the GDs to this conversation to see the total range of confusion on this topic.

Bumping this to keep awareness up on the confusion still out there regarding stored and full mana.

Bumping this again, as it appears there has been no update to the Gallery of Rules and Definitions related to this topic. We are still left to figure out for ourselves - on a card-by-card basis - what "full mana" means, because it is still not consistent.
