How many cards are there?

I have 3625 cards. When I go into my Cards inventory and select "Show all cards" the filter tab tells me there are 4595. However, when I go to my profile, I have mastered "588/4610" cards.
So I'm curious - are there 4595 or 4610, or a different number? Also if the correct answer is 4610, what are the 15 cards missing from my Cards inventory?

    I could be wrong... but I think the cards viewable in card inventory  are cards that are currently possible  for you to obtain. I think the profile # is showing every card ever made in mtgpq. Some of the sets have exclusives that are no longer available and exclusives in  the zen block that haven't been made available  yet.

    Thanks @Tezzeret that's helpful. I can see older exclusives like Christmas issues that I'll never be able to collect (e.g. Some Disassembly Required) and of course Eye of Ugin that nobody can ever get ;-) but the missing zen block cards makes sense.
