Nicely done.  Filtering by Shards and name was a huge quality update.  I'd like to see a "Filter by affiliation" next...especially if we're going to have more of the "Use Members of Team <foo> three times today." type quests. 

How many people knew which characters were affiliated with Champions before that one popped up?

Follow-up question - How many people knew there *was* a Champions affiliation before that one popped up?  (I certainly didn't!)

Exactly, that Champions bit was what made me do the effort. I had no idea it was Miles, Kamala for example.

Nice work.  The better question is why aren't affiliations are a bigger part of game play interactions and synergy.  For some reason, combo/power synergies are a much more important part of the game than comic affiliations.  I would love to see comic accurate affiliations have a more significant role in how combos work other than team specific events.

Its true that there are some teams where affilations are important, like Team ironman/captain and things like Guardians of the galaxy boost for rocket/groot.  But they are few and obsoleted pretty quickly.

Maybe have the seasons also offer affiliation boosts as well.  For example one season, all Xmen get a boost.  Next season, villains get a boost etc...

I think they don't understand high level play enough to do synergy on purpose.  Whenever they try, it's forced and ineffective.

I can't say I've done that fully, and it depends significantly on your roster and your supports (which ones you have and at which levels). For me (and please note, I have ZERO infinity stones and never see myself getting one so I don't consider them below):

• Okoye + 4* Royal Talon Fighter (shouldn't need explanation)
• Thor + 4* Sanctum Sanctorum (gens Yellow at battle start to accelerate Apoc and/or Okoye, plus gives him match damage reduction in case he is forced to be in front)
• Apoc + 4* Vintage Shield (mostly for the Yellow AP on start but also some health increase and match damage reduction and chance to create protects when you fire his other powers, which helps set up his black), though I really think a 4* Proxima (mine's only 3*) for Red on battle start or a 5* Tinkerer (mine's only 3*) for the Black on battle start would be better.
• Beta Ray Bill + 5* Carol's Communicator for the extra protect tiles at battle start and healing when you match them
• Polaris + 4* Atlantis for the damage boost to her passives and the extra green on start of battle, helpful when running her with Thor or BRB or Th4nos
• Th4nos + 4* Yaro Root for the extra green on battle start, gets winfinite going faster

Others to consider:

• Supports that give you other colors on turn start: and remember, it just has to be on someone, it doesn't have to be on the character that uses that color. Example: Quantum Realm or Black Widow's Batons accelerating Shang-Chi's purple.
• Supports that give you a chance to get extra AP when you match that color (I believe they all require the supported character has to be the one that makes the match, so just make sure the character you have it on is tanking that color). Example: Chimichanga on Shang-Chi gives him a chance for extra Red and Purple with any Red or Purple he matches, Kimoyo Beads on Blue tankers & users
• Crit boosts on characters where crits come into play. Example: Lucky on Shang-Chi teams and Colossus/America teams
• Damage boosts that can switch your team's strongest color or changes which character tanks it, which can play into other powers. Example: if I put Black Widow's Batons on Shang-Chi, Purple becomes his strongest color vs Red and if I run him with Valkyrie, now I'm getting Purple for the Bounty instead of Red.

I've toyed with the idea of doing a full support write up, much like @Daredevil217's write up for 5* characters. Maybe I'll get to it one day...

I must admit that I am weak on support usage. I use them, but not optimally. At some point I need to go through them and strategically re-assign them.

I defaulted to the synergy bonus for a long time, but Spin Cycle prompted me to assign specific supports to Shang-Chi (2* Chimichanga), Phoenix Cyclops (5* Sanctum Sanctorum) and Gator Loki (3* Quantum Realm).
