Boosts

I hate when I start a match, boosts from the previous match are already installed before you hit "Fight".

You should take this feature away as I have wasted numerous boosts in the past, especially when I haven't needed to (e.g. from the end of a PVP to the start when you fight 1* teams). It has even messed me up before in the sense that I have repeatedly done it and wasted a lot of boosts.

Anyone else had this problem and think this should be removed?

It gets brought up every once in awhile and there are some that think similarly to you and others that think it doesn't go far enough. (Selecting/buying boosts wastes precious time during those last few critical PvP matches.)

I have wasted some very expensive (not that I paid for them, but I could have) boosts because of that setup. I hardly ever boost, only using them on impossible levels in PvE and valuable retaliations in PvP. Because I'm so used to just clicking through that boost screen, I almost always end up accidentally using boosts into the next battle.. and frequently the next after that and so on, until the boost itself runs out. Every time I go to start the next match I think "I must remove those boosts" and then every time I click through the boost screen and realise my error the *instant* the first slide appears or the game board appears.

Today I managed to waste all my + 20% damage boosts in the PvE while trying to clear the Gatekeeper nodes, and only just saved my final three +3 all AP (I had at least 12) after I kept clicking past the boost screen. Damn muscle memory!

Bejewelled Blitz has a setting to auto-add more boosts when you run out; when the option is not selected, the game can't auto-add. Of course, the game can only buy the boosts for you if you already have the coins. If you don't, you get a pop-up prompting you to buy more coins or cancel.

I would *love* to see a "settings" option for boosts in MPQ : set the default to auto-add (as in, buy more if you don't have enough left for max boost level) OR auto-remove all boosts after each match. If you don't have enough ISO or HP left while "auto-add" setting is on then a pop-up can appear same as if you manually click.

It would be amazing to be able to use the expensive boosts without worrying muscle memory will *always* waste at least one more set of them!

I disagree. The reason they stay there is so that if you're racing through battles in a PvP, you don't have to waste time setting them up again each and every time. Your problem with this can be fixed by paying attention.
  • I like that they stay... in PvP, the only way I can even get through fights without using 2 heals after each one is with color boosts. (Yeah, I end up spending a ton of iso on them... but what else am I to do?)

I'm on the other side and wish they would default back to zero boosts before each battle. How often do you use the same boosts in a row? I don't use boosts much, but when I do, I almost never use the same boost or boosts two times in a row.
  • In the last 10-20 minutes of an event I'm boosting like crazy. I appreciate the default, because I'm usually running the same team that relies on the same boosts.

The one time I remember it biting me in the butt was when I was fighting some 230+ enemies at the end of a sub and I used one of the rare +50% damage boosts. Well, it rolled over into the next sub and I accidentally used my last one against lvl 45 enemies. aiiigh.

As others have already said, when you're grinding at the end of a PvP, you're always using the same boosts every time. But I still like the way your post sounds like a Dos Equis commercial.
  • They could add a remove all button. They could also add some favorites so you could click one button to add various set-ups you like.
  • They could also set it so that your boost pane emptied out when you changed events. This preserves your pre-sets when you're pushing the end of an event but clears you out if you go to prologue heal or start running through the beginning of a new PvE sub.
