I've had no crash during games, but the app is clearly resetting more often since the last update.
Before, I was able to leave the app for an hour and continue playing afterwards. Now, leave the app for a few minutes and it restarts from the splash screen. It's not always the case, but iften enough that I found it 'remarkable'.

If I accidentally click the minimise button as it's very close to the menu button in a match, or if I'm idle for 10 seconds and my phone locks the game will rest from loading screen or it will fully shut down.

    I'm using a Huawei Y6 2019 with 32bit and Android 9

I confirm that there is a persistent issue with MTG PQ game app crashing after going into the background for different reasons. For me personally the Issue has already occurred several dozens of times and it keeps occurring.

This can happen in different ways but the outcome is always the same: application resetting to the default state and starting as if it hasn't been started before, losing all the progress if you were in the middle of the game.

Before I could go to sleep and resume the game in the morning in the middle of the match. Now application resets to it's default state. Match progress is lost in the process and it counts as a defeat. In cases of coalition events it affects coalition scores witch is really wrong.

Ways to replicate this behaviour as listed below:
    - Answering telephone calls for some time (5-10 minutes calls).
    - Switching between application using different application for some time untill switching back to the game. In most cases for me it was Youtube. Watching it for a while and switching back into game resets the game to the default state. Switchng to the different App and using it for some time bears the same unfortunate result.
    - Leaving an MTG PQ app idling for some time. Can happen after 5 minutes, can happen after 20 minutes. It's inconsistent. But idling is the key.

Application doesn't go to sleep. It's switched off in the phone options so it can idle freely without being tampered by internal phone services.

The only difference in the application I've noticed so far is that there is now a "Google Play Games" account that one can tie to the MTG PQ profile. And that could possibly be the place where everything brakes.

    As for the smartphone:
    Smartphone: Samsung Galaxy J7 Neo
    Model nuber: SM-j701F/DS
    Android version: 9
    One UI version: 1.1
    Firmware versinon: J701FXXS9CTH4

I have also seen much more loading of MTGPQ since the upgrade, so my perception is very similar to what has been reported above. Particularly, the graphics is a lot more jerky, like it is stuttering.

However, other apps on my iPad is also showing an over-tendency to reload, when switching between apps (and not only to and from MTGPQ). So going from having the ability to switch 3-4 apps without loading to now where switching between 1-2 apps without loading, leads me to suspect a memory issue. Is MTGPQ allocating to much memory on an iPad?

As I discovered recently this resetting behaviour is also replicable in BlueStacks (PC Android simulator).
Reset discovered after I left an app to run in the background doing something else.
When I returned App just closed itself.

This was a big problem for me years ago - even sleeping the phone and returning seconds later would reset the app - but this isn’t happening to me now in v4.5. I hope this datum somehow helps dev find the problem for everyone who is unfortunate enough to have this happening to them.

I am having the same issues. This is especially frustrating when there are limited node counts.

Thank you for the feedback, this issue will be investigated!

In order to help us, please provide the following information (please PM me the answer, or send it to Customer Support in-game):

    • UID* (Do NEVER post publicly your UID number on the Forum)

    • What device was used when it happened?

    • Is it related to a specific event (or another specific battle)? Or even another part of the game (when you purchase something, editing deck, entering in any of the screens, when you level up your Planeswalker, etc)?

    • If it is in a battle, a list of all cards in the deck and possible interactions that might have happened.

    • In this case, the more information the player gives to us, the better.

    Thank you,

    Marcela.

you can easily reproduce thid with your own Smartphone. just start a match in tg, switch to an app like whatsapp or line, than switch back to mtgpq. there is a very high chance that the app reloads itself on activation. or even better, ask one of your developers to do it...
