Luke Cage Red Protect not Showing

Playing the last Luke Cage node in VB and I noticed that late in the match I didn't see any red protect tile on the board.  I clicked on a blank tile and it showed I had a protect out, but there weren't any friendly protects on the board.  Don't know if this was just a visual bug or something more complicated.  Thanks.
