Apparently one person in my alliance currently has a sale going on for them.

Anyone else have this mystery sale? I for one don't.

  • Are they on a different platform? I've heard about Steam having sales while Iphone and Android does not.

I thought about this too. I went to check steam and it doesn't seem like they are having one or it would be on the game page.
    I just want a sale D: haha

Please don't spend more money than this.

same here (Steam), happens regularly enough and no sales on mobile at the same time.
  • They stated somewhere on forums that they do dedicated sales. Probably based on how much You spend so far - I guess people like Bugpop or Colognoisseur or Reckless won't get them, as they're eager to spend at normal rates.

But if You bought once, the system might assume You are willing to do it again, and the word "sale" always works.

And if You never bought anything in-game, the system might assume You think it's too much for this amount of ISO or HP, so the sale might make You spend some cash.

    ----

And those dedicated sales might be a reason why we haven't seen normal sale for quite some time.

While that may be logical, I think D3 may be shooting themselves in the foot. It's a bold business that thinks that they can get away with giving the worst rates to their best customers.
  • Reverse wholesale. The more you buy the more you pay. lol.

Actually it's not all that uncommon in business. If any of you were to go to my wireless provider, cable company, etc... You'd probably get a better deal as a new customer than I can as a long time customer.

And I'm pretty sure people get ticked off at that too...

It's an interesting question - new customer acquisition is pretty expensive for businesses, so is it harder to get a new player for a F2P game or to convert a player to a paying customer?

That would constitute storing personal data, i.e., tracking a purchasing history for your account.
With the lack of an explicitly presented privacy policy and no received consent, that means the practice of such targeted sales would very likely be illegal in Europe.

Any people in Europe actually gotten these sales offers?
  • i have not had a sale offer in 4 months, and im 100% sure its because they think i wil purchase agian without one.... well... its another reason im quitting.

Come on it's just a Steam thing (I believe), we have sales all the time. Not that it matters in the least for me - purchase-banned over Steam. So when I bought HP with a backup mobile account to expand our alliance, you imagine how annoyed I was at the fact that there was the same exact kind of sale on my banned Steam account and no sales on my mobile account. Meh.

    Nope, we don't.

Are you on Steam? I thought both of your accounts were mobile.

Okay, I have a sale right now on Steam. Do you? If not, then you are probably right and the system tries to compel me or something.

Nah, main on steam, second (which I think I won't go back to) on my phone.

That's why You can sometimes (like, near the sub ending time) see me sitting in my car playing MPQ on my laptop, parked in a place where I can get Wi-Fi. Usually behind one of my drugstores icon_lol.gif

No sale. But I already spend around 300-500$, so like I said in this thread earlier - no dedicated sale for me.

But....according to that other thread none of the whales are speaking out against the changes icon_rolleyes.gif

First of all, $300-$500 is probably not in the realm of whale territory. Secondly, the point was that none of the whales are acting like the rabid nutcakes that have gotten so many upvotes lately.

The mob mentality is getting quite ugly.

Well, sure, Kakko and Slobofix are dream customers: absolutely silent on the forums, spending like crazy (I have yet to see either in a PvP despite having seen the better part of forumites already), just perfect in every way. Sigh. Someday we can all strive to be more like them.
