Fortified Countdown Tiles

When fortified countdown tiles are destroyed (i.e. via Kitty Pride’s Circuit Breaker) Shouldn’t the fortification be removed first and not the countdown tile? If not, can that be considered?

    There's a distinction in the game between "destroying" a tile and "removing" a tile. Removing simply clears the tile so that it's a basic tile again, and this bypasses Fortification intentionally. Destroying a tile does attempt to clear the tile entirely so that new tiles have to fall in to fill the space, and a Fortified tile does prevent this from happening, at the cost of removing the fortification.
