Impulsive Maneuvers causing 0-power creatures to attack [Investigating]

Impulsive Maneuvers, which is one of the optional permanent supports in the right node of the Seize the Day event, can result in 0-power creatures attacking.
My opponent had Impulsive Maneuvers in play and attacked with Erebos’s Titan. The power was set to zero and the attack animations played, including both the creature thrust and the damage splash on my planeswalker. The attack also appeared in the log.
This didn’t impact My game per se but since 0-power creatures typically don’t attack I thought I’d check in. Is this WAD because IM is an attack trigger, or should setting the creature’s power to 0 also stop it from attacking?
