Players who still had rewards to be collected in the Inbox, not in the Vault, and opened it after the update are receiving the new booster with the former Exclusive THB cards included and also with IKO Cards. This is an issue on our side and will be corrected. From now on the Inbox rewards a player has, will contain a booster according to what the new set is on the date it is sent, not the date the reward was collected in the inbox.
Due to a misunderstanding and a lack of details from our side, we will have a Data Push update to fix the issue with the “Exclusive” cards by adding them to Standard and VIP Booster, that were received in 4.1 and kept in the Vault
After the update, all the former THB Exclusive Cards (which are now regular cards since we have a new set) are included in the VIP Booster (THB) and the Standard Boosters (non-dupe).
For those who kept the Boosters received in 4.1 and had already opened one of the Standard Boosters or the VIP Booster from THB set without all the cards, please open a ticket with Customer Support.
You will be asked to provide your UID, the name of the booster you opened, and when you opened it (approximately). If confirmed, we will send the correct booster.
The Standard Boosters that will receive the change are mentioned in bold on the Exclusive Cards topic below.
Once received, VIP Packs will only provide cards of that set.
Once received, VIP Packs will only provide cards of that set. VIP packs acquired during a current set will only contain cards from that given set. For example: if you receive a VIP pack while Theros Beyond Death is the newest set in Standard, that pack will only (and always) contain cards from THB. That pack content will not be updated with cards from the next set when this is released. Instead, each set will have its own VIP packs.
Standard Packs will have the cards defined once given, and won't update when new collections are released.
Standard Packs will have the cards defined once given, and won't update when new collections are released. Standard packs will only contain cards from the Standard configuration of when they were received. For example: if you receive a Standard pack while GRN, RNA, WAR, M20, ELD, and THB are the only sets in Standard, that pack will keep having cards only from those sets, even after the release of other collections, such as the upcoming Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths (IKO) collection.
Cards from the newest set will become available for crafting only after the release of the next set.
Cards from the newest set will become available for crafting only after the release of the next set. In the upcoming 4.2 release (Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths (IKO)T the cards from the collection Theros: Beyond Death (THB) will become craftable right away.
The IKO collection will then become available only when the new set after IKO will be released.
All Standard Sets will have the same price (except ORI).
Booster Crafting price for Standard Mythic cards: 5,000 (Origins: 3,000)
Exclusive cards will not be part of the Booster Crafting until they become regular cards.
Exclusive Cards will be available in Boosters only after a new Standard set has been released. Then these cards are considered regular cards and lose their Exclusive tag.
The exclusive cards from a specific set will be added to the VIP Booster, Basic Booster (Standard), Rare Card (Standard), Mythic Booster Pack (Standard), and Masterpiece Booster Pack (Standard) when the new Standard set arrives. (All these mentioned boosters are from the Standard area in the Vault. This doesn’t apply to the Elite Collection area, the booster from Elite Collection will not receive the former Exclusive cards since it’s a completely different selection of cards.)
The Booster Crafting will also have the new regular cards when the former new set is added.

The LPS is there to break up ties in competitive events by occasionally freezing the game when it opens up behind a card image.

Surely, as a programmer, the inelegance of this solution must rankle just a little.A game breaking loop exists. It *continues* to exist, because this is a patch up, not a fix. 12-18 months down the line, they'll print a card which breaks the game in exactly the same way, because they'll have forgotten about this patch.

I'm not sure what the unfortunate position LPS occupies on mtgpq's "best features" list has got to do with the community complaints (in some cases impolite) about the unavailability of THB exclusives in existing Standard packs, Oktagon mobilising to address those in perhaps the most responsive, rapid, and reasonable way they've ever dealt with any significant community request, and afterwards, no thanks, no acknowledgement, just complaints (in some cases impolite) about the next thing.

Perhaps it's because the change to the STD boosters was so unpopular in the first place? there was a whole thread of complaints when it was announced.
