Steam Issue

So I tried to play MPQ today on my desktop through Steam.  Played it yesterday without any issues.  When I try to load the game today it goes to playing on Steam but then doesn't load the game and returns quickly to as if I never even hit the play button. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, same issue.  Restarted computer etc.  I try to play it on my laptop through the same Steam account and it appears to work fine.  What could be the issue with my desktop and MPQ? I have been playing the game for years and never encountered this issue.  

*Edit* - appears to have been an issue with Steamworks Common Redistributables.  Supposedly when I uninstalled and reinstalled it downloaded this again, however, it still didn't work.  I went into Steam Tools and manually updated this tool and now it works.  Hope this may help any other Steam users who run into this issue.
