Convert - must gem conversion be from a different colour?

During a match with Chandra 3, I triggered the Domri vanguard to convert 3 gems to red. I noticed that one of the conversions was a red gem to a red gem, which is not what I expected.

Technically it is a conversion, however it does seem like a glitch. So is this the correct behaviour?

    It shouldn’t be- surely the very point of conversion is to change one thing to another- not change one thing to the same thing.

    @Avahad - I agree, but this is another rule that AFAIK is not written down anywhere.

    @Tremayne this feels like a great situation to try and record before submitting a ticket

    @jtwood - not sure I follow. Do you think they will reject my query, if I do not have proof?

    Anyways, who records anything before playing MTGPQ? (I’m playing on an iPad, so I’m even sure that is a possibility).

    We record games and share them amongst our coalitions all the time, both for instructional purposes and sheer amusement. There are a number of screen recorders out there that should be accessible. Samsung/Android phones come with Game Tools pre-installed,. AZ Screen Recorder was one I used before that. I'm not sure what the iPad equivalent is, but there's surely one out there.

    @madwren - thank you for enlightening me on an otherwise unknown issue. :)

    Reject? Not necessarily. But I think they act more quickly on submissions with video evidence directly showing the bug. Video also helps remove any doubt that you misremembered what happened and provides extra context about board state more readily.

    If you have an iOS device, you have a screen recorder built into your device already. It’s in a weird place. Go to Settings > Control Center > Customize and then click the + next to ‘Screen Recorder’. It will show up in your control center and you can easily initiate recording in much the same way you might quickly access your flashlight or camera.

    Domri converts 3 gems in that video, as they should:
    • W->U on row 3
    • R->U on row 4
    • U->R on row 7
    None of those gems "changed to its own colour".

    Right you are. Not sure how many times I watched that and missed it every time. I even posted it on Discord and no one else caught it. :smiley:
    Thanks!
