Game Rules

All games have rules. Players are bound by those rules and most players know the rules and agree to them before starting a game.

MPQ has rules, but they change all the time and often in the middle of an event. Players don't know the rules and have to figure them out by trial and error and observations. This has to stop!

Take for example the recent Prodigal Sun subs. There appears to be no rubberband. We've been playing with a rubberband for months and players have adjusted their play styles to work with it. Did they publish this change in the Event Rules section? No. Also they have a progress meter, but don't tell us what happens when we fill it.

How are we suppose to play this game without knowing the rules? I don't mind if a rule changes if it's found to be unfair, but at least publish it so we can adjust to the new rules. Is that too much to ask?

It used to cost $2 to get these questions answered but the devs had a lot of complaints about only answering one question at a time for $2 each so they eliminated that option and now you can ask 3-5 question for $5 icon_lol.gif

I see absolutely no reason for the devs to post exactly how the rules work: if they did then they wouldn't be able to change them at will, and would see a lot of complaining from people that didn't realize how ridiculous they are in the first place. It makes much more sense from their standpoint to leave us in the dark.

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of the constant moving target. They have an Event Rules tab. How difficult would it be to put in a few notes that the event plays differently? They can change the rules between events all they want, but once an event starts stick with it. Quit changing things midstream (change point targets, rubberbanding, etc). I'll give them credit for waiting for Season 1 to end before changing Spiderman, but they get demerits for Prodigal Sun.

I'm all in on this. How can we expect to be able to play effectively and have fun if we don't know the rules? Or if they change arbitrarily in the middle of a event. Or between events without notice. I'm getting really sick of it and a lot of other people are too. It has to stop of player turnover is going to keep going up.

A good company doesn't change the rules at will. They change it with notice ahead of time so people know what to expect. We're not just hitting a moving target. We're hitting a moving target while blindfolded.

They are beginning to remind me of this spoiled I knew when I was younger. He had all the best toys and newest games. He would bring them over for all the kids in the neighborhood to play with, until he started to lose. Then he would change the rules to the games and say if you don't like it, don't play.

We all just stopped letting him come over after a while. So much easier not dealing with the ****.
