Is it possible to get to 1100 points with a 2* team?

I have been consistently hitting 7-800 points in pvp, but I want to reach that cover at 1100. I have a bunch of 85 2*s and no 3*s I can use. Is it a realistic goal or do i need to wait for at least one 141 level 3*?

900 is usually a mega grind to get to without shielding.
i think 1100 would take quite a lot of hp and luck.
  • I would assume it's like anyone else. You can get to 850-900 through determination and then you have to shield hop/AP boost to get to 1100.

You're probably looking at laying out 300-450 HP.

Thanks. Haven't used a shield yet so I may try that this time to get Daken.

Is Watercat running his level 85 Bagman with his Psylocke? At the end of season one, he beat my some max-level 3* teams multiple times within minutes using a combination of Moonstone/Hulk/Bagman. That should tell you all you need to know about his wins.

Watercat is in my bracket. He went from 800ish (shielded) to 1109 (shielded) in an hour this morning

Would you submit a new report on him? I sent an email due to the SHIELD sim activity, but I'm not sure it was treated as a formal report.

As I said in the Fresh Cut thread, watercat bounced off my shield some hours ago, I warned people in there because I remembered your posts about him.
Course I didn't see what he beat me with, but I'm guessing the same Bagman crew that you saw.
  • When I only have 2* teams I shield hopped to 1100 (and often to wins back then), so yes it's possible. COSTLY on HP though.

Wow it is a joke that they still have not deal with this guy yet. He is clearly a cheater, i remember him having 3000 point in sim with just a lvl 65 ares 85 bagman and some one else I think a hulk. There is no way you can get that much point with this kinda team. I hit him 5 time for 40+ points with no remorse though.

I'm sitting shielded at 846, without much hope of holding onto the 10th place in my bracket. Wouldn't mind shieldhopping to stay top 10, except with the recent changes and the fact that I have no 3*s, I'd probably have to buy a shield for every match. I might just have to resign myself to top 25; what do you guys think?

For a data point, how many hops was it? Approx how much HP?
  • With the purely points based bracketing you get at the top end of events it's pretty tough to get to 1100 with a 2* team. Even if you run something cheesy as hell and use boosts you still can't kill 3* teams quickly enough to get a decent number of matches in without being hit before you can reshield.

IF I was going to try and get to 1100 with a weak roster I guess I would try and get to 900+ early on in the event before all that many veteran players are bothering to start then shield hop in off-peak times... still not sure it would work all that well to get to 1100..

I just used my first shield at 720 and 9th place. If I start the Iron man event will that remove my shield or is it per event? I assume per event but want to be sure.

    Per event, you're correct
  • The only time I've ever managed it was during Kyipgate. (I was unaware of the glitch, just thought I was getting insanely lucky).
  • Like 2 seeks ago I saw a guy climbing to 1112 and (probably) finish there in the last 8 minutes of the tournament.
  • Couldn't get to 900 right now without getting slapped around, so I'm gonna say no unless you are willing to spend a small fortune shield-hopping.

Well my first experience was a mistake. Went to 700 and bought a 3 hour shield. Then realized i would need an 8 hour after anyway. Punched up to 890 before the first attack hit me again. So I bought the 8 hour. Which is good as it says I protected over 300 points of loss.

I'm a 2* team and I think my max so far has been around 850, but I don't shield hop. I can get top 50 in most events, have gotten a top 10 finish a couple of times. But just when I start to think I'm going to get to a new high in an event I hit a wall of 3* 141 teams and I know I'd better either shield or prepare to be clobbered.
