why is my alliance of 5 competing with alliances of 20?

This is beyond ridiculous. C'mon devs, why does my alliance of 5 members get put into the same bracket as S.H.I.E.L.D. and other big alliances with 20 slots fully buffed?
Would you put a football team of 5 players up against another with 20?

So you will purchase slots. They are a business after all.0

Because they want people to spend the $100 to build out a full alliance. It's been discussed quite a bit around the forums. The problem with SHIELD isn't that it's 20 people, any 5 of them could be put into an alliance and beat yours anyways, so I don't know why you're complaining about that. It's the alliance with 20 people who get half as many points each as you do who are getting better prizes just based on their size. However, if they did separate out alliance brackets by size, it'd only be fair to give **** prizes to the smaller brackets and there'd be complaining about that anyways.0

That's interesting, I never thought about it like that. Even with that said there has to be a better way than competing with a team that has 4 times as many members. The current solution is not a solution at all, laziness is what it is now.
Also roster slots, for both personal and alliance, should not increase in price with each addition. This is a huge cash grab on the developers part. I will make another thread to rant about this greed0 -

Would a team in the NFL only pay the salary for 5 players if they knew 20 were allowed to be on the field?
You wanna play in the big leagues pay up for the salary.0 -

Oh absolutely, it's a lazy system designed to force people to pay. They could bracket it out and adjust the prizes etc, but that wont necessarily have the same driving force to make everyone join as large alliances as possible.0 -
I dun see it as a cash grab, if they wanted to, they could make alliance unlimited with exponentially expensive slots. The fact they set a limit (of 20) makes it a reasonable ceiling to reach, make it fair gameplay wise and yet make some money along the way.
I say it's a valid compromise. D3 gonna make their money somewhere.0 -

If you make a brand new 5 man one though, you'd be getting one for just showing up0 -

That would have been counter-productive. If you see must shell out $1000 or limitless to have the most edge you don't even start spending. With the 20 limit the full alliances grew overnight as that is something tough but doable. This way provided more income by far. (with cheater-founded alliances the picture is even more colorful)
But stay put, it's a safe bet after season3 ends they will bump the limit to 25 and eventually to 30 "because so many people asked for it".0 -
I can see that as a possibility. But until then, they are innocent until proven guilty. Lol.0
