How do you obtain more trophies in Event categories?

I see everyone with 85+ trophies in event categories but I can only get 9? Please help

    Maybe I am not explaining it correctly but on all of the events when I collect my 3rd set of Silver coins; that category closes for me and I can no longer score any trophies in that area. Is this normal?

    Yes, that's correct. Once you've reached the 3rd milestone for an event challenge, then you have completed it in its entirety.

    A bit of clarification here - after the 3rd milestone, you are then only competing for placement rewards that come at the end of the active portion of the event. You can keep building buildings, upgrading cards, etc. to try to get from the top 50% to top 10 for (a few) more coins...
