The Akroan War - Replacing creatures [As Designed]

When i play The Akroan War, i steal an opposing creature.

But when i max out at 3 creatures, i cannot select the stolen creature to be replaced by one i want to play.

    This is happening as it was designed to.
    You can only replace by your creatures. Even if you have control on the "stolen" creature, the opponent is still the owner of it.

    I'll add that this behavior is consistent with other "stolen" creature mechanics (which I call the "borrow critter" mechanic).
    Willbreaker and Angrath's 2nd are the to that I use most frequently and have never been able to replace a borrowed critter with one a different summoned/cast critter.
