Transaction bug?

Anyone else having this problem?
I'm trying to buy additional Hero Points so that I can beef up my roster.
But when I try to make a purchase, I get a screen that says:
PURCHASE FAILED
Sorry, we couldn't complete your purchase.

This has happened multiple times over the past 24+ hours using my iPhone.
Anyone have any ideas? I have emailed tech support but no reply yet.
Is this a settings thing with the game? With my phone?
Thanks folks,

Have you made any other purchases through the app store lately, other than MPQ? Were they successful? If so, then it's a glitch on the MPQ side. If not, try to download a free game and see if it works. If it doesn't, it could be as simple as typing your password wrong by accident. If it does let you, verify your card on apple. If everything is working right and entered correctly, submit a ticket explaining that it is solely related to MPQ. They will fix anything that affects their revenue stream pretty quick.
  • I just got this message when trying to purchase the $49.99 hero point pack so I could get a Daken cover for the current PvE. HOWEVER, I still got charged for it. Now I'm out $50 AND any Daken covers I could use for the sub. I've requested a refund through support but the last ticket I sent in took over 2 weeks to get a response.

This will be the last time I ever give D3 money.

A quicker option is to request a refund through the app store if CS is taking too long. Just explain that the charge went thru but that you never received the digital goods. They'll contact D3 for you and fix it faster.

So I have tested this out and I am able to make other purchases through the app store. It is only with MPQ. I haven't seen my CC statement, so maybe I should check to see whether or not I am getting charged for all of this.
I did submit a ticket to MPQ explaining things. I then updated the ticket with more information (my username, the fact that it is only MPQ and not a general transaction problem). But now its been 48 hours and I haven't heard anything from MPQ other than an automated reply.

Is MPQ support always this unresponsive? Its not Saturday am (Eastern Time), and I have 55 hours until some of my saved alts disappear because I don't have enough roster space to bring them on board (the reason I was trying to make the transaction in the first place). If I lose my Ragnarok alts because of this I will be *seriously* upset.

Call your CC company and see if the charges went through. If they did, file for a refund in the App Store. They will either get you credited in game or on your CC really fast. D3 Customer Support moves at a glacial pace sometimes. Not sure if they are understaffed or overwhelmed, or both. So the App Store/Play Store is a much faster option to remedy these issues.
  • So apparently it hasn't gone through my CC - so at least I'm not getting charged for it (at least so far).
However still no response from D3 customer service, and now I had to lose an alt that I had been waiting for an additional slot to recruit (the whole reason this started in the first place).
    *grumble*
  • Im having the same problem too..i want to purchase some hero points but always failed. My last purchase was last May 8, and it was succesful.. are they having a prob w/ their system?
  • Update for those who are interested:
It is now approaching 2 weeks since I originally contacted D3 about this bug.
The only solution they have proposed is that I delete the game files from my iPhone and then reload the game. They then declared the problem "resolved" immediately after sending me that email.
I deleted the game and reloaded it. No difference. Still can't purchase any in-game currency.
I reported this to D3 and 48 hours later actually received an email that might have been written by a real person, apologizing for the inconvenience.
Still no resolution though, which is frustrating as I have had to let go of several promising characters due to no more room for additional heroes.
  • Final update for those still interested:
Nothing helpful from D3 for 2 1/2 weeks. Then finally an actual person stated that they couldn't find anything wrong with my account and that I try contacting Apple about things at their end (iPhone 5, iOS 7.1)
At that point i made my umpteenth search about iPhone settings to see if I was missing something. Came up with Settings-> General-> Restrictions, and remembered that long ago I had disabled in-app purchases in order to prevent my kids from making unauthorized purchases from within their games. Mistakenly, I had believed that this would require input of my passcode in order to authorize purchases, but instead it was simply disallowing all in-app purchases.
Hopefully this will save some frustration for someone, somewhere, at some point in time...
