Better display of "Base Defended" vs. "Base Defeated"

Here's a splash screen I got this morning, it's ambiguous on how many trophies I actually lost:



Did I lose 30 trophies?  10?  Gain 10?  All are possible here (I know I lost at least one battle because of the lost resources, or maybe not?)

In fact, I have to go to this screen to see I lost 10 total:


Why can't the first screen use the color schema or the + and - symbols the second screen does to disambiguate the status report?
