So I haven't played many matches in the last month, and its all because of a fun little change to the way this game loads stuff (spoiler, its not good).

Basically, once the loading wheel shows up (say, when ending a match and claiming rewards) if you lose connection (say, by being on a subway that's in a tunnel) the game immediately soft locks and forfeits all of your points.

Even if you get connection again, the wheel keeps spinning forever without loading anything.

I've tried even putting my phone on airplane mode in order to get the "error can't connect" to force it to retry, but that never comes up either anymore.  Just the spinning loading wheel, mocking me.

Because of this and the fact that most of my playing is done during my daily commute, I am now unable to play MTGPQ for the foreseeable future.  @Oktagon_Support I don't know why this change was made of if it was intentional, but please have the team look into it.  I'm sure I'm not the only one affected by it.

Not to dispute your claim, but hasn't this been an issue for a very long time? I know that for the last couple of years, I've made sure to play only when I'm not going to be losing/changing connections, for that very reason.  Did they fix it at some point? Just curious, really, because it sucks.

Its always worked for me where it just doesn't load until I get signal again.  I mean, there were sometimes issues.  But now it happens 100% of the time.

Since the most recent update it looks like it stops searching for a signal immediately and gives up without the error message, meaning it becomes a points-losing soft lock.

I've been getting it spinning on loading data and killing and restarting the app isn't enough even, I've had to uninstall and reinstall. I thought perhaps the bad data that had been interrupted was still stuck in the pipeline, so restarting just put it exactly back in the same position instead of it starting again from scratch. (On an iphone, can't clear cache like android)
That was my about what was happening, but it possibly ties into what you are reporting too.

I and others in my coalition been having the same issue for some time. Mainly when playing a match and moving from WiFi to data or vice versa. I only play now when in either fully in WiFi range or have started the app with the WiFi off. It is a huge pain to deal with and doesn’t happen to other games I
play. I’ve lost many a charge to this issue, hopefully this thread will put it back on the radar.

The failure to recover after a connection loss is pretty recent, a few months at most.  I'm sometimes playing in a place with very unstable 4g, and I don't dare anymore because of this.

I can only confirm that, it only got extremely worse a few months ago. Around Eldrain, but I'm not sure. When the connection is lost and when changing from wifi to mobile.

We call it the spinning wheel of your game is toast.  And yes the error button Never pops up no matter what you try. FYI airplane mode, shutting service on and off. Nothing works.

Nice to see I'm neither alone in this issue or crazy, but its definitely troublesome that this serious issue suddenly appeared so recently for everyone, despite there being no reported changes to anything remotely relating to loading times or systems.

@Oktagon_Support any word from the team on this?
